미국 필라델피아 태생으로 티이오가 고교를 졸업하고 '성제임스 감리교회'
소년 찬양대에서 노래를 불렀다. 그는 '빅토 하버트, 스탠스필드'와 같이
음악 공부를 했으며 후에 파리에서 '고든 자코브'와 같이 음악공부를 했다.
시카고에서 무성영화의 배경음악 오르간 연주자로 경력을 쌓으며 미국,
유럽에서 연주회를 가졌다.

세계제2차대전 때는 군장교로 복무하였고, 생애를 Hollywood에서 작곡가로
지냈다. 디즈니사에서 애니매이션 음악작곡에 종사하며 작곡한 두 편의
디즈니 만화영화 '페르디난드의 황소와 미운 오리새끼'(Ferdinand the Bull,
1939 and The Ugly Duckling, 1940)는 아카데미상을 수상했다.

Maurice Gendron (December 26, 1920, near – August 20, 1990,) was a French cellist and teacher.

He is widely considered one of the greatest cellists of the twentieth century.

He recorded most of the standard concerto repertoire with conductors such as Bernard Haitink, Raymond Leppard, and Pablo Casals, and with orchestras such as the Vienna State Opera Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

He also recorded the sonata repertoire with pianists such as Philippe Entremont and Jean Françaix.

For 25 years, he was a member of a celebrated piano trio with Yehudi and Hephzibah Menuhin.

He also made a famous recording of J. S. Bach's solo cello suites.

Gendron played with many musical stars of his time, including Benjamin Britten and Rudolf Serkin.
His 18th Century Stradivarius, which has become known as the "Ex-Gendron" cello is currently on loan to German cellist Maria Kliegel.

Gendron taught at the Yehudi Menuhin School and at the Paris Conservatoire.
His students include Colin Carr, Chu Yibing and Jacqueline du Pré, among many others.

He was the first modern cellist to play Boccherini's Concerto in B flat in its original form, instead of the Grützmacher version.

He gave the first Western performance of Prokofiev's Cello Concerto with the London Philharmonic Orchestra under Walter Susskind, and was subsequently given exclusive rights to the piece's performance for 3 years.

His approach to cello playing is summed up in his book "L'Art du Violoncelle" which was written in collaboration with Walter Grimmer and published in 1999 by Schott [ED 9176; ISMN M-001-12682-3].

"Swan Lake, Op. 20: No. 2, Waltz. Tempo di valse"

<발레의 줄거리>는 중세 독일의 전설에 바탕을 둔 낭만적인 것으로,
감미롭고 화려한 음악은 이야기의 내용에 어울린다.

울창한 숲에 둘러싸인 독일 어느 작은 나라의 왕자 지크프리트는 성년식의
무도회에서 비(妃)를 택하기로 되어 있다.
그 전날 밤 숲에 사냥하러 가서 호수가에서 백조를 쏘아 잡으려고 한다.
그 순간 갑자기 아름답고 기품 있는 왕녀 오데트가 나타나 그녀들은 나쁜 마법사
로트발트에 의해 백조의 모습으로 바뀐 것이며,밤 동안밖에는 인간으로 돌아갈 수
없다고 말한다.

그는 오데트를 사랑하기 시작하여 이튿날 무도회에 초대하고 작별을 고한다.
한편 로트발트는 그 무도회에 딸 오딜을 오데트로 변장시켜서 보낸다.
그러나 그것을 깨닫지 못하는 지크프리트는 오데트로 변장한 오딜을 자기의 비로
삼는다고 발표해 버린다.

그때 로트발트가 갑자기 나타나 무대는 암전(暗轉)한다.
지크프리트는 급히 숲속 호수로 가서 슬퍼하는 오데트에게 사과한다.
그리고 두 사람이 호수에 몸을 던지자 사랑의 힘으로 마법이 풀리고 백조들은 원래
모습으로 돌아갔고 두 사람은 맺어진다.

연주회용 모음곡은 전4막 36곡 속에서 줄거리와는 관계없이 유명한 곡을 발췌해서
조합한 것으로,통상 6곡으로 이루어지나 차이코프스키(러시아) 자신의 구성에 의한
것은 아니다.
악기 편성은 2관 편성에 바탕을 둔 표준적인 것이다.


제1곡 : 정경 Moderato b단조 4/4. 제 2막 첫머리에서 연주되는 곡으로,

오데트의 신상을 암시하는 듯한 어두운 분위기이다.하프의 아르페지오와 현의
트레몰로를 타고 오보에가 '백조의 주제'(악보 1)를 분다.
왕자 지크프리트가 사냥하러 가서 호숫가에서 춤추는 백조를 발견한다.
지크프리트와 백조의 만남의 음악이다.


제2곡 : 왈츠A장조 3/4. 제1막 지크프리트의 성인식 장면 중간에서 연주되는
우아한 왈츠이다.

전주에 이어 바이올린을 주체로 한 현악기군이 왈츠의 으뜸 선율(악보 2)을 연주한다.
이 선율은 몇 개의 매혹적인 악상을 사이에 끼우면서 몇 번 반복되고 화사한 기분을
고조시켜 간다.


제3곡 : 네 마리 백조의 춤Allegro moderato f샵단조 4/4.
제2막의 중간부에서 네 마리의 백조가 춘다.
파곳이 묘한 반주를 새기는 가운데 오보에의 2중주가 리드미컬한 선율(악보 3)을 전개한다.


제4곡: 정경Andante non troppo G플랫장조 6/8.
역시 제2막에서 연주되며 무대 순서로 말하면 제3곡의 바로 앞에서 연주되는 것이다.
유명한 지크프리트와 오데트 두 사람의 춤으로 왕자가 사랑을 고백하는 장면이다.
하프의 카덴차가 목관의 화음을 누비는 것처럼 하면서 도입되고, 목관이 새기는 리드믹한
화음의 악상을 끼고 독주 바이올린이 중심 선율(악보 4)을 연주해 간다.


제5곡 : 차르다슈(Czardas)제3막

지크프리트의 비를 정하는 무도회 후반에서 각국의 민족 무용이 잇따라 추어진다.
차르다슈는 그 하나로서 헝가리의 민족 무곡이다.
느린 라수(Lassú)와 빠른 프리스카(friska)의 두 부분으로 이루어졌다.
라수(악보 5 a)는 Allegro moderato A장조 4/4 프리스카(악보 5 b)는
Vivace A장조 2/4의 격렬한 무용이다.
이 춤 뒤에 지크프리트는 로트발트의 간계에 빠지고, 그 딸 오딜을 약혼자로 택하고 만다.


제6곡: 정경Andante E장조 3/4 Allegro agitato a단조 4/4 피닐레.
사랑에 패한 오데트는 도망치듯 호수까지 오자 물에 뛰어든다.
그것을 쫓는 지크프리트이다. 오보에가 악보 1의 선율을 쫓기듯이 연주하여 긴박감을 높인다.
이윽고 호수에서 나타난 두 사람의 모습에 맞추어 관현악이 끝막의 악상을 당당히 연주하고
빛나는 대단원을 고한다.

Alexandre Debrus is one of the most promissing cellist of his generation.
His father Raoul Debrus and his mother Eliane Debrus-Boucher, were respectively
lead viola and cello to the RTBF Symphony Orchestra in Belgium.

At the age of four he started to play the cello under the guidance of his mother.
He was studying with Luc Dewez (Mons et Waterloo), Mischa Maisky (Sienne),
Mark Drobinsky (Sienne et Paris), Yvan Monighetti (Bâle) et Mstislav
Rostropovich (Beloeil).

He gives numerous concerts in Belgium, France, Switzerland, Germany, Serbia, Italy,

Adagio sostenuto KBS 글로벌 성공시대, 피아니스트 임현정 편 (서울=연합뉴스) 윤고은 기자 KBS 1TV '글로벌 성공시대'는 13일 오후 7시10분 '세계를 놀라게 한 피아니스트 임현정'을 방송했다. 임현정(26)은 지난 6월 데뷔앨범 '베토벤 피아노 소나타'로 한국인 최초로 빌보드 클래식 주간차트 1위에 오른 신예 피아니스트다. 그에 앞서 그는 유튜브에서 먼저 스타가 됐다. 원래 빠르기로 유명한 림스키코르사코프의 '왕벌의 비행'을 팬 서비스 차원에서 다른 연주자들의 거의 두 배가 넘는 속도로 연주한 영상을 유튜브에 올리자 단숨에 조회수 25만 건을 넘기며 주목받았다. 이를 계기로 그는 굴지의 음악 매니지먼트사인 해리슨 패롯, 세계적 음반 기획사인 EMI와 계약을 체결하면서 본격적인 스타 피아니스트의 길을 걷게 되었다. 지난달 24일 임현정은 최고의 무대인 영국 로열 알버트 홀에서 공연했다 스코틀랜드 왕립 오케스트라와의 협연이었던 이 무대는 공연 3개월 전부터 전석 매진을 기록했고 임현정은 '라흐마니노프 피아노 협주곡 2번'을 멋지게 소화하며 관객을 매료시켰다. 그런 임현정의 집안에는 음악 하는 사람은커녕 피아노조차 없었다. 단지 왼손을 쓰면 머리가 좋아진다는 이유로 동네 피아노 학원에 다니게 된 게 피아노와의 첫 만남이었다. 피아노를 치면 칠수록 피아노에 대한 사랑은 깊어졌고 급기야 부모를 졸라 열세 살의 어린 나이에 홀로 파리로 유학을 떠나게 되었다. 열여섯 살에 파리 국립음악원에 최연소 입학한 그는 이후 한국인 최초로 퀸 엘리자베스 국립음악원의 최고 연주자 과정에 합격하고, 벨기에 국가 장학생으로 선발됐다. 베토벤 소나타 전곡 앨범 데뷔 'EMI 클래식’이 2002년 피아니스 임동혁 이후 10년 만에 한국인 연주자와 전속 계약을 맺었다. 무명에 가까운 젊은 피아니스트 임현정(26•사진)이다. 데뷔 앨범 레퍼토리는 신인으로 이례적인 베토벤 피아노 소나타 전곡(총 8장). Johnson 이 쓴 시에 근거한다. 이시는 1864년에 발간된 그의 시집 Maple Leaves 에 실려 있다. "매기"는 그의 학생 Magaret Clark. 그들은 사랑하게 되었는데 그녀가 아플때 오래된 물방앗간이 보이는 가까운 언덕에 올라 이 시를 지었단다. 그들은 1864년에 결혼하였는데 매기의 건강이 나빠져서 1865년 5월 12일에 세상을 떠났다고 한다. 이 시의 흐름은 감상적이거나 늙는 것을 두려워 하기 보다는 아마도 잃어버린 젊음에 대한 서글픔과 위안을 노래한 것으로 보겠다. Blue moon A blue moon is the name given to the second full moon in a single month. The month’s first full moon occurred Aug. 1. But to the average night sky stargazer, the moon can still appear full in the day before and after the actual full moon time. On Friday (Aug. 31, 2012) night, a rare blue moon rose in the sky. The astronomical event occurs only once every three years or so. Because the lunar cycle is 29.5 days, most months only see one full moon. Next time we will see a blue moon is on July 31, 2015. The blue moons aren’t really blue. 보케리니는 이탈리아 루카에서 음악가 집안의 아들로 태어났다.
첼로와 더블베이스 연주자였던 그의 아버지는 1757년에 그를
로마로 유학을 보냈다.
여러 연주 여행을 거친 뒤, 에스파냐 카를로스 3세 국왕의 동생인
돈 루이에 의해 궁정 악사로 고용되어 마드리드에 거주하게 되었다.

왕궁의 후원 아래 화려한 시절을 보냈으나, 어느날 국왕이 그의
새로운 삼중주 곡의 한 악절에 대한 불만을 이야기하며 고치도록
명령하자, 자신의 작품에 대한 국왕의 간섭에 대해 화가난
보케리니는 그 악절을 오히려 더 늘여 붙였고, 곧 해고되고 말았다.

그의 후원자들 중에는 프랑스 총독 루시엥 보나파르트와 아마
튜어 첼로, 플루트 연주자였던 프로이센 왕인 프리드리히 빌헬름
2세도 있었다. 에스파냐 후원자와 두 아내, 두 딸의 죽음을 겪으
면서 그는 힘든 시간을 보냈고, 1805년, 가난에 못 이겨 결핵으로
사망하였다. 그의 유족으로는 두 아들들이 있었으며, 지금도
자손이 이어지고 있다

3악장. 알레그로 콘 푸오코 - 알레그로 모데라토:
'집시풍으로' 라는 지시가 붙어 있습니다. 폴란드 출신인 그로서는
집시 계통의 음악도 간접적으로나마 접할 기회가 있었을 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
기교적으로는 완숙함이 상당한 경지를 보입니다.
시작부터 끝까지 점진적으로 분방하고 열정적인 음악으로 몰아가는 악장..
